Tyler conveys in the piece a reaction of a group of children – shock.

The reference for this image originated in Indonesia. When a group of children were shown a video of a tsunami, their immediate reaction and reference for this work were captured on camera.

Artist’s Statement:
As kids, we are still able to be surprised and scared, and therefore protected. But even as adults, we become scared sometimes. In this piece, I captured the reaction of these kids as a group to show that there is a sense of unity and comfort that is separate from fear – a result of having your loved ones by your side.
