Born in Urumqi, Xinjiang in 1957, Palla Jeroff’s artistic journey began when he was given the opportunity at 17 to study oil painting and drawing at the University of Xian. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts, he became an Art Professor, dedicating years to teaching and research.
In 1987, Palla moved to Australia, marking a period of remarkable success. His paintings gained national and international acclaim, leading to exhibitions worldwide in Germany, France, China, and the USA. A significant highlight was his 1998 exhibition at Guangzhou International Art Exposition, where the Guangdong Museum of Art selected one of his works for their prestigious collection.
Palla’s unique achievement lies in blending diverse cultural styles; he embraced Australia as his new homeland, infusing his art with the nation’s spirit. His captivating use of colour vividly captures the Australian landscape and its people, showcasing his distinctive and authentic approach.
