The Iconic Australian artist Leon Pericles returns to Adelaide with his latest exhibition ‘The Return’ at Ex Animo Art in Hyde Park. This exhibition will showcase the multidisciplinary artist’s unique and harmonious blend of painting, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture. 

As a living legend in the art world, Leon has captivated audiences across the world with his innovative approach to artmaking. For over 55 years, Leon has always been pushing the boundaries of what is possible, spending extensive hours searching through his collection of unique pieces to create extraordinary works. Thrilled to share his latest creations with Adelaide, Leon’s tireless pursuit of artistic excellence and his ability to balance design, materials, and colour will be showcased at ‘The Return’.

Highlighted in this show will be Leon’s new etching, titled ‘Island of Lost Memories’, commemorating his wife’s experience with Dementia. Here Leon depicts memories that are tethered so they don’t float away – perhaps by love – perhaps by strength – perhaps by others. Honouring this piece, 50% of the sale of ‘Islands of Lost Memories’ at ‘The Return’ will be donated to Dementia Australia.
