Ryana Schofield’s love for art began at the age of 5 when she discovered her talent for drawing. She recognized that art held a special place in her heart. However, her passion was put on hold at the age of 15 due to her mother’s discouragement. Rayna pursued a career in hairdressing, becoming a fully qualified hairdresser for both men and women.
It wasn’t until her early thirties that Rayna decided to pursue her true passion. She dedicated five years to studying at the North Adelaide School of Art, majoring in painting, which opened up numerous avenues for her.
Unfortunately, in 2013, Rayna’s life took a significant turn when she tragically lost her beloved husband. This loss made it difficult for her to engage in painting, as it served as a poignant reminder of him. During the down period, she was introduced to sculpturing by her friend, where she discovered a new medium for her to create and express herself again. Rayna has established herself as a professional artist, specializing in sculpture for 9 years now and curating beautiful paintings inspired by her own experiences.
