Christin Lutze creates in her paintings imaginary spaces in which neither perspective nor architectural constructs could exist. It shifts perspectives, distorts planes, deforms bars or reduces distances. Nevertheless, her paintings appear real, the room is theoretically accessible. Her handling of light supports flatness or depth, reflects motifs or illuminates hidden corners.
