In a world filled with noise, geopolitical tension, recession, fuel shortages and constant uncertainty, I find myself drawn in the opposite direction.
While political figures loudly dominate headlines, I search for something quieter.
My work is a retreat from that noise. Not an escape from reality, but a shift in how I experience it.
Through solitude and stillness, I step away from what I cannot control and retreat into my mind. It’s there, that I find a sense of clarity and calm.
The lone figures in my work, standing in the sea or across open plains, dwarfed by vast skies, reflect this search. They are not lost, but choosing distance.
Choosing silence over chaos.
In the end, all I can do is notice the small things, hold onto them, and paint my quieter version of life.
