Artist Geoff Bromilow

Originals

Geoff Bromilow is an Australian wood sculptor from the Adelaide Hills. He dedicates hours studying each fallen timber piece, before shaping them into exquisite works of art. Bromilow recognizes the significance of reclamation and the incorporation of reclaimed materials into his artistic medium. He brings his sculptures to life by skillfully using salvaged River Redgum, Huon, and King Billy Pine, which have been recovered from areas affected by bushfires or agricultural activities.”

Bromilow’s early career as an arborist in the early 1980s endowed him with a distinct appreciation for the natural splendour of timber before he transformed it into art. Following the devastating Ash Wednesday bushfires that ravaged much of south-eastern Australia, he established his own timber recycling enterprise. In 1995, embracing his roles as both an artist and conservationist, Bromilow embarked on his professional journey as a wood sculptor.

His award-winning creations can be found in galleries and private collections across Australia, the USA, New Zealand, the UK, France, Luxembourg, Germany, and Scandinavia.
