Diana Mitchell is a South Australian-based artist specialising in watercolour. She was born in Wikerie South Australia and was introduced in 1973 to the art of porcelain painting her personal quest for a sense of achievement led her to study with Australian teachers and international teachers such as Paula Collins from the USA, Peter Faust from Switzerland and Derek jones from the Worcestor Factory in the UK.

She enjoyed fifteen years teaching the art of porcelain on-glaze painting to a wide range of students in Australia and was a member of the International Art Teachers Association and the Australian porcelain Art Teachers. Diana has won many prizes in this field. She has diversified and expanded her knowledge to include watercolour, acrylic, mixed media paintings and various works on glass and lustre work.

Diana is a member of The Californian Watercolour Association The Royal South Australian Society of Arts, The South Australian Watercolour Society, Gallery M, Burnside Art and Port Adelaide Community Art.
