Tempietto

Plaster of Paris
20 x 12 x 12 cm

The Tempietto was built in Rome in the 15th Century and designed by Donato Bramante. It is more sculpture than building, and is considered to be the ideal representation of Renaissance architecture. It is common belief that it is positioned at the exact location where Saint Peter was crucified in Trastevere Rome.
