This work provides an up close and personal encounter with a field of sapphire blue, velvety irises. The evocative mistiness around the flowers is heightened by flecks of silver, which make their presence felt between blue petals and soft tones of green in the foreground. The work comprises two canvases which hang side by side, in diptych fashion and are sold together.
