Gumnut No. 4: There has always been a quiet quality in Gishka VanRee’s artwork, with each piece serving as a reflection of his deep interest and fascination with the beauty of nature. When one observes natural creations from any perspective, a sense of unity and order is revealed.

Many years ago, Gishka embarked on a series centred around an Australian icon, ‘The Gum Tree.’ Specifically, the focus was on the diverse forms, textures, colours, and patterns of the different ‘Gumnuts.’ This series has been an ongoing project, with new works emerging on a yearly basis.
