The bond between a mother and child, which begins during pregnancy, never ends. The connection is physical and spiritual – it can never be undone.

Gail Stent utilises photography to capture single subjects, in a quiet place away from other human beings, separated into sensory isolation, weightless and free in a vast underwater environment. Her subjects have reached a place where the world is forgotten in that moment, where, in the complete absence of sensory input, they reach a state of consciousness deep into the human mind.

Artist Statement: My photographs have a special meaning to me and they won’t be for purchase indefinitely. My images are all limited editions as I feel that the art collector needs to know they are special offerings of my work to you – a unique piece of art.
