Kate Dawson (b. 1988 Victor Harbor) is a self-taught emerging contemporary artist showcasing her love of the beach from a unique aerial perspective.
Growing up on the Fleurieu Peninsula she was drawn to the ocean from a young age, learning to surf at 10-year-old – a sport she still enjoys today along the South and Mid Coasts.
By day Kate works as a Forensic Investigator for the South Australia Police where she specialises in Fire Cause Investigation. Painting is an important creative outlet helping her to unwind and relax from what can be an extremely confronting occupation.
