The art of painting from the heart
Janine Daddo paints love. The love of living in the moment and following your heart. Of embracing experience to form unbreakable bonds with family and friends. Of joy and romance expressed through bold colour, figurative forms and tantalising texture.
Janine always wanted to be a painter, and now with twenty-five years of experience behind her including numerous interstate and international shows, this once fashion illustrator and advertising director has kept true to her artistic intent. She is adept at expressing happiness through her bold strokes expertly laid bare on the canvas. Stories come alive via a finely honed technique which is wonderfully unique. She may be lucky to live the life of an artist, but luck plays no part in this painter’s sustained creative output. With multiple exhibition sell-outs and now adored by private collectors around the world, her conversational and seductive work crosses all borders to land purely in the language of love. Recurrent themes revolve and emote. Birds deliver messages, flowers bloom as romance dances, angels watch over lovers, hearts land where tenderness lingers. Layered rich hues move from dark to light, while gold and copper leaf reflects and delights. The possibility of dreaming becomes endless.
From her creative beginnings in graphic art at RMIT University, to being represented by galleries world-wide and being in high demand for commission-based work, Janine Daddo’s visual art of innocence and intimacy rings true. She says: ‘if you find your stories and your work is heart-felt, opportunities will come. My paintings are very personal and open up conversations.’
And speak for themselves.
Janine Daddo is also a sculptor.
